These regulations will assist the city in its snow removal efforts and help to provide passage for emergency response vehicles. Included in these regulations is the banning of parking on all streets in Ridgewood Village during the winter months and no parking from 2:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on Abbott Road, South Shore Blvd, South Park Avenue, Electric Avenue and Ridge Road. ALTERNATE PARKING RESTRICTIONS WILL BE VIGOROUSLY ENFORCED. Public Safety would also like to remind all citizens, snowplow operators and business people of the following: In clearing driveways and parking lots, avoid creating piles of snow that block sidewalks or restrict the view of motorists. Plow operators are also reminded that it is illegal to plow snow into public streets or onto sidewalks. It is the responsibility of every homeowner or business person to clear the sidewalks in front of their homes or business. This will provide pedestrians and school children with an adequate walking area as opposed to having to walk in the street, creating a dangerous situation. ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************* JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT The Lackawanna Police Department has applied for the Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Stimulus Funding as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 under the Recovery Act Edward Byrne Memorial Grant Program.
