PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE "ENHANCED" STAR EXEMPTION IS FOR AGES SIXTY-FIVE (65) AND OLDER. TO QUALIFY FOR THIS EXEMPTION, YOU MUST TURN 65 YRS OF AGE ON OR BEFORE DECEMBER 31, 2011.

CITY OF LACKAWANNA NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL AND HEARING OF COMPLAINTS FOR 2012-2013
FISCAL PERIOD OF AUGUST 1, 2012 THROUGH JULY 31, 2013
The tentative assessment roll for the City of Lackawanna has been completed and is on file in the assessor's office, room 213, Lackawanna city Hall. It may been seen and examined by any person interested therein until the second Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of January 2012, when the Board of Assessment & Review will meet in the Council Chambers on the Second floor, Lackawanna City Hall as follows:
Tuesday, January 10, 2012 - from 9 am to 1 pm
Wednesday, January 11, 2012 - from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm
Thursday, January 12, 2012 - from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm
To hear and examine all grievances and complaints in relation to such assessments, upon verified statement of any person conceiving himself aggrieved thereby. The assessor will be in attendance at all hearings.

A procedural guide and complaint forms are available at the assessor's office. Complaint forms may be giled with the board of assessment and review. The final equalization rate for the city of Lackawanna is 100%.
